Hey guys, I have a 2002 Explorer Sport. As the heading of this particular forum category says: "Questions related to non-modified 1995-2001 Explorer, Mountaineer, Ranger and '02+ Sports and Sport Trac." I am posting in the right area.
However, I think that might also be my problem. I ordered a fuel filter from Rock Auto a couple of weeks ago. When I got under the car to change it, I quickly realized that my new fuel filter and the one on the car were completely different. The one on my car was nearly twice the diameter of the new one I got. The connections all appeared to be the same, but not the diameter of the filter.
Anyone run into this problem? Is it because I'm in a transition year or something? Should I have ordered a fuel filter for a Sport Track? Or should I have ordered a fuel filter for a 2001 Sport?
