I entered my first 4x4 competition two weeks ago. Its at a local park called Gulches ORV Park. They do a 4 event series over the summer. I'm in B class, which is under 35" tires and lockers in either or both ends, and mostly stock body.
The objective of the event is to go between cones without backing up or hitting cones. The courses were TIGHT, not designed for a 4 door Explorer (most of the rigs in my class are Samurai's, one Rubicon, one Cherokee, one Yota).
Here's course 1:
Only 3 trucks of 8 made this course. I got the left rear up to equal with the second cone on the left.
Course 2:
The truck is too long. I got high centered on the pipe and almost rolled it off to the right. I've got two short videos of this one if anyone's interested I'll try to put them up on YouTube.
Edit: Video 1 is before Time out:

Video 2 is trying to get me down without falling off of the 6 foot pipe then into the at least 6 foot deep hole beside it... After the cap came off the power steering pump and I lost fluid...

Course 3:
No picture becuase my wife was video taping it. 9 minute video if anybody wants to see it. I came VERY close to going over on this course.
Video: It doesn't look as steep in the video, but that was a heck of a drop in. Where the camera drops is where my wife freaked out thinking it was going over. Then she thought it'd be cool to have a video of it rolling, so she brought the camera back up. At the end, you're supposed to pivot left around the cones and comeback through. There was no way I was going to make that turn. So, I planned to slide the back end down the hill and back through. That's when the hub went.
