If I was 2wd I'd be running some 3" lift spindles. It's about the easiest way to go and fairly inexpensive Do a search and you'll find tons of info on them.
im 2 wd.... just get a 3inch body lift...its cheap and you can set aside a saturday to do it... it wont change your suspension at all... and if you want do a TT and shackles ...65 bucks for the shackles and tighten the torsion bar bolts and get an alignment...thats how i fit 33s along with most... that will end up beingabotu 4.5 inches counting the body lift..

With 2wd you can mak out the torsion bars to 3 inches
so shackels=1.5-1.25
F-150 leaves=2-1.5
TT=3-2.5
Body lift=3
so altogeter
max=6 front 6.5-6 rear
Min=5.5 front 5.75 rear
Personally if i had a 2wd i'd be going the pre-runner route.
3" lift spindles (if i wanted to drop the coin a camburg long travel suspension)
deaver leaves for the rear
remote resivore shocks...etc
I have a 2000 2wd X and just did a set of Hannemanne glass, WAR153 shackle,tt, and I'm running BFG 33" MT's on a 15x8 3 1/4" bs. Absolutely NO rubbing, and it looks good until I can finish it off w/ a Camburg 6.0 system and some Deavers. You have many options. Not including tires and wheels, I spent under $500 to fit 33's and The great thing is that the only parts that won't be used when I get my lift is the shackles. $75 in parts wasted to look good in the mean time? Not a bad deal. And don't worry guys...when I get rid of these shackles, I'll post them here for about $30 to help someone out.
i have bout 500$ in my lift, for 9" 3" TT, 3" Spindles off Ebay, Spring perches for SOA, and a 3" B/L from 4wp. Im clearing 37"s.... Follow the link in my sig if you want pics.
