Hi this is Siddmann07 from sunny Dubai, currently owning a Explorer98 XLT with a lot of problems......dash keeps flashing, "Check engine" any ideas how to rectify this problem? Thanks.

Welcome to the site. My reccomendation is to search our second generation Explorer forum for tips. Search for "check engine light".

One of our members has done a lot of work in Dubai.

Siddmann welcome to the forum

When I am in Dubai I have only seen maybe 2 Explorer's, they must be pretty rare?

I am an aelevator consultant and specialize in mega high rise buildings so as Rick said I do alot of Work in UAE.

CEL flashing = computer is storing a code in memory and you need to read the code(s) this will point you to the problem area.

Whan engine is in your 98? The 98 model in the US was available with 3 different engines, the 4.0L OHV V6, the 4.0L SOHC v6, and the 5.0L V8
