Why 2-piece upper control arm on passenger side?

Why did Ford use a 2-piece upper control arm on the passenger side?

Since you can buy a single piece replacement....one not have one-piece from the get go?
 












thanks swshawaii...good to know Ford agrees with the change.

Does anyone know the reason why ford used 2-piece originally?
 






Only benefit I can see is front to rear caster adjustment,
and the possibility of not needing front wheel alignment.

BTW, remember to ask them about the "lifetime" differential fluid,
100K spark plugs, plastic t-stat housing, sway bar links, etc. ;)
