An FYI....
I was looking for wheel locks for my 98 and heard that the McGard line was the best. I located a retail source where they looked up the part for my year. The part number that I bought would fit the studs, but the "hub cap" cover would not fit all the way on. My other concern was the lug wrench in the Explorer was 3/4 inch and the key for the locks was 13/16. I emailed McGard with my concerns and they gave me a different number for an open style that also used a 3/4 wrench for the key. This is what they look like:

The part number they gave my was 24010. They would fit under the hub cap and uses either size wrench. The place I bought the first ones had to order them but they were willing to exchanged them.

Hope this is helpful for anyone looking for wheel locks.

Great Jim.... Exactly the info I needed. ;)

Oh, I came across this Note on one of the websites when I was searching for the 24010 part:

"WHEN INSTALLING WHEEL LOCKS OR LUG NUTS, VERIFY CORRECT SEATING SURFACE STYLE AND THREAD SIZE. ALSO VERIFY THAT FASTENER HAS NOT BOTTOMED OUT ON WHEEL STUD BEFORE TIGHTENING AGAINST WHEEL."

Did you have any problems with the 24010 bottoming out before it contacted the wheel?

Thanks,
Don
