It has nothing to do with the fuel in the tank. It would run on the lower octane, just not perform as well. Beyond that, ya got me!

cleaning didnt help..

i made those connections spotless... still doesnt work. I guess my service port is dissabled right? The only problem with that is i thought my car shouldnt start at all, let-alone in the 87 performance mode...

lol wheres brian!

if your theft light flashes really quickly your service port is disabled same thing happned with my i just sent him my computer he fixed it and overnighted it back i think that you are not in 87 performance mode but infact the chip is turned off when it will start

well in that case i would also have to send him my chip to get reburned because there's 3 setting on the switch 1, stock 2, 87 performance 3, 93 performance.... my truck starts in 2 out of the 3...

I'm having the same problem, did you ever find the solution???

I've been trying since 4pm this afternoon, no one will answer the phone at Apten.

Don't give up, also send an E Mail. Brian is a really good guy and he will definately resolve the situation.

Let us know what the problem was.

The problem was that the serivce port was dissabled. The solution is one of two options. First, you can send your eec to Apten and they will activate the port. This option leaves you without a ride for a few days. The second option is to do it yourself. This can be done my soldering two jumpers between two sets of pads. See the photo:

Should I just call apten on Monday and find out what I should do?
