Hi everybody,
I am new to the X page and would like to say this is a great site for DIY people like myself.
Anyway I own an 03 Explorer and would like to flush the tranny. I have searched, with no success, to find some guidlines for the task. Can anyone point me to the link that would help. I am thinking of dropping the pan, changing the filter, filling the pan back up with approx. 12 quarts of oil, taking the return hose off the tranny, starting the engine, and when approx. 8 or 9 quarts run into the calibrated jug turning off the engine. Then check the fluid level. Will this work? Does the engine need to be running when the fluid level is checked?
Thanks,
Danny
