1st-2nd Gear Shift Flare When Going Slow Please Help

I have a 2000 XLT 4door with 155k miles on the 4.0 SOHC. Sometimes when driving slow it revs up before it hits 2nd gear. Also sometimes it clunks hard when I let off the gas. The O/D OFF light blinks constantly, but otherwise it drives fine under normal conditions.

I've heard of the 2-3 flare but not 1-2. I can't use the search feature on my mobile device, so does anyone know what it might be? Thanks in advance

Scanner pulled the P0741 code for TCC stuck on. Cleared the code and so far no flashing light. Will advise what fix is needed in case it will help someone out in the future.

My valve body separator plate gasket had a tear in it. It fixed the flare but not my P0741 code. Still limping around on a POS transmission
