So I've posted on this topic before, but am still being vexed by my 2006 XLT. The rear defroster grid does not ever seem to work in cold, icy or foggy weather. There is a new relay installed. I have measured the grid status at the rear terminals, and I have 12V across the grid when the button is pushed. I have continuity across the grid otherwise. I have continuity from the connecting electrical tabs to the grid itself.
Even if one or two lines where broken, the rest of the grid should work as designed. But everything checks out. Perhaps the relay is supplying the proper voltage, but not enough current?
Other thoughts?
