2013 Explorer - new to me

Sorry if this has been discussed, resolved, I just cannot find a solution;

I just purchased a 2013 Explorer XLT 4wd flex fuel, it has the myford sync touch system, connecting my iphone or a USB stick to any USB port I get "no device found" when selecting USB as the source. is the fuse for the mysync system for the USB ports also? if not what fuse should I check? should a master reset be performed first?
any help I'd appreciate

I'm not sure what the issue may be but I doubt it is a problem with a fuse since the system does recognize that no device was found. The system is MyFord Touch (MFT). Do you have the 8" screen? Do you have navigation?
