My check engine light come on after driving about 10 minutes and stays on. I think it may be the 02 sensor that is bad. If anyone has some ideas what it could be I would appreciate it.

You'll need to pull codes using either the method as suggested by swshawaii or get an OBD I code reader. They are brand specific but are fairly inexpensive.
Agreed, There is a lot more to the system than just an O2 sensor, and a lot of the time they are not bad even if you get a code for it. A vacuum leak can cause the code as the computer only knows that the mixture is off. You will need to start with a code. There is no other way to start the diagnosis without starting there.
Awesome. Does your 93 have two sensors or just the one? 172 means bank 1 lean. Should yours have two sensors, then swap them side to side if possible. If the problem goes with it, then there's your issue. Other things can cause this code, such as a vacuum leak, bad intake manifold gaskets, low fuel pressure. Search the forum, there are quite a few threads about this very issue.
