I recently had a new alternator put into my vehicle. Now after the starting it, in either warm or cold weather my headlights, taillights, clock and interior lights flicker fast and there is a whining noise. It is not the battery causing the flicker as it is keeping it's charge. Is this due to an defective alternator or something else?

Did you install it?
Check if all the connections are right and if it's bolted on properly.
Also check your battery connections, make sure those are tight and making contact.

Yes everything was connected alright. It was a faulty alternator. I had it replaced for free and everything is working ok.
