Hi, new to this forum. Have an 08 Explorer, AOD, V6 around 88,000 miles. Bought it used at 45,000 miles. Never did like the way it shifted or excelerated. Recently, shifting into reverse from Park, a slight delay sometimes and then kicks in hard. Two days ago, it would not shift out of Park into reverse... after about 5 minutes of putting my foot on the brake and pushing on the shift release button, it finally went into reverse. Now everytime I go to drive it, braking and pushing the release button anywhere from a minute to four or five minutes before it will shift into reverse or forward. Any advice/clues as to what is wrong, how to fix and estimate on costs would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
