4 wire connector
According to my 2000 wiring diagrams the trailer/camper adapter connector C408 located on the left side just forward of the rear bumper is only a 4 terminal connector. It only has wires for trailer left turn/stop lamp, right turn/stop lamp, tail lamps and ground. Since it is not wired for trailer brakes I doubt there are provisions for a brake controller. I didn't see any connections for a controller in the wiring diagrams.
