what size is the nut on the front hubs on the cv shaft? I order two new front hubs for my 2000 explorer. I just need to know the size of the nuts. Thank you.

The big CV nut? Pretty sure it's 32mm.

And for the 4x4 retainer nut a torque of 212-288 Nm (1997).

The stock CV axle nut is that 32mm size I think. Some aftermarket axles do come with different sized nuts than stock. A 1 1/4" socket fits some of those nuts. My first axle I replaced came from Autozone, and I wanted to reuse the old nut. The OEM nut is very strong and large, the one on that Autozone axle was smaller and cheap looking. The threads were even different, they had a different thread pitch.
