How to install resonator on 1999 Explorer?

My resonator rusted to a point that the pipe weld broke off from where it enters the resonator. So I attempted to remove the whole unit, but could not figure out a way to orient it out over the axle, (it seems that the truck has to be lifted a bit for the resonator to clear the ground), so I ended up sawzalling it out.
So I ordered another resonator and muffler from Rock Auto (muffler is also showing age, so I figured replacing everything, plus Walker has $30 rebate special).

My question is with the truck on the ground, can the resonator go in? And if so, how does it get put in? From the back of the truck, or from under the middle of the truck?

Just wanted to give an update. I was able to install the resonator with the truck on the ground. I fed it from the back, however I had to remove the passengers side rear stabilizer link to make some room to get the pipe back there.
