I am having a problem with my '99 Ford Explorer XLT. When I am driving it seems to down shift on its on when I am accelerating only to drive normally afterwards. It seems to only happen when I have been driving for a while or just sitting in traffic. Is my transmission going out or is it something else because this does not happen often.
