I have never had a problem with mine lowered 1" rear, 3.5" front. Sounds like you have a bad allingment.

Guys thanks for all the help, I will look for a more reputable shop but one question when measuring the height drivers to pass side do you take into account for uneven ground or is it not that important

As long as you are measuring from top of the wheel well to the ground there shouldn't be a problem with the ground level. you are not measuring from the same point. Rather from the bottom of tire to the top of the wheel well.

You want to make sure you're on level ground otherwise the suspension will be flexed a little and the measurements will be off.
