Many times when I follow the procedure to remote start me Explorer, the lights will come on after pressing the lock button twice but will not start.

You only press the lock button once, then the remote start button twice.

Mine works as long as I can convince her to go out and start my truck.....

I've found that it takes some practice to get it to work right. you have to hit the lock button and IMMEDIATELY press the start button TWICE.

The timing is hard to get down. Basically you have to hit the buttons QUICKLY in succession or it won't work. If you delay even a second or so between presses it won't work.

That's funny... I know the proper procedure but now that I typed it wrong, I better pay attention on how I'm doing it!

I'm pretty sure it was acting up....or was it....
