im thinking of getting some

theres 3M stuff too but seems a lot more money

I have heard of them before and they are infact applied as factory options on some high end cars, they are great for protecting againt normal paint damage, ie- stone chips and scratches, I have seen one car with it, an MR2 and it is just about invisible if done right, and does a great job of protecting the paint- But you really need pristine paint work before its applied or it tends to make existing marks look worse than ever!
