2 weeks ago I bled brake system to change out all the old fluid. ended up running master cylinder dry, but thoroughly bled all lines and got all air out that I could see. brakes felt great for about a week, then the pedal started feeling spongy and sinking to the floor. after bleeding again with no change, I think I got air into the ABS hydraulic module. I called a shop about using their tools to cycle the ABS system and get air out, and the tech told me that most likely I blew out the seals on the MC (my 12 year old was pushing on the pedal during bleeding) and that most likely the ABS module solenoids stay open when car is off so air shouldn't be in there.
Bought new MC, bench bled (thoroughly I think), got all air out of the lines that I could see, but still getting pedal to the floor when engine is running.

1. anyone know about solenoids status of ABS while off
2. suggestions for spending approx. $100-120 for diagnostic scan tool that controls ABS solenoids

thanks guys!
