just curious, any of you samurai lovers change motors in your samurai or thinking about it?

maybe swapping to something bigger? either bigger 4 cyl or maybe even a v6?... turbo diesel?

i mean i know its not supposed to be a dragster/sport car...but i know if youve driven a sam youve wanted more power haha

ive seen these swaps:
-1.6turbo diesel to a 1.9TDI
-1.6 DOHC suzuki engine out of the sidekick
-4.3 vortec v6
-5.7 chevy small block :thumbdwnthats not really realistic to me at all, not something i'd want)

i was thinking of something with around 100-150hp stock, just something decent maybe the exlorer 4.0 with a 5spd

my stock engine is going to need a rebuild soon, has oil leaks, and it was neglected by the previous owner...so depending on the condition of it, i will do a rebuild or a swap....

My friend put a carbed 4.3 in his and its not to shabby. I can try to get some pictures if you want.

oh he had some big tires on there, no wonder he wanted a v6 haha

big motor would need some axle upgrades too haha
