I own a '95 XLT with 125,000 on it. I love the vehicle -- runs great -- but it has developed a tranny fluid leak that only happens when its very hot outside (welcome to Nebraska summers) or after it's been driven for longer periods of time. If I run it in the garage to look for leaks nothing happens (I've even run it for about 45 minutes), but when I pull in the driveway after being running around town for a while a stream of drips is clearly visible. The hotter the outside temp, the shorter the trip that show the leaking. Am I looking at a new tranny here? Or is it perhaps just a seal problem. As long as I keep an eye on the fluid level and keep it where it should be there are no problems with the way it drives.
