Howdy. Finally, to fix a non-functional overdrive, I am installing the good-used transmission I received into my '92 XL (4x2). It's an M5OD 5 speed sticker. This is the first time I've ever done work this heavy on my truck.
After trying for a long while to get the exhaust-crossover-whatever off, I gave up. It's the piece that connects to the headers and has the oxygen sensor. Can I get the transmission in/out without removing it? It looks like there's enough room to pull it off as long as I jack up the input end of the transmission right after I slip it off the dowels.
