well got the chance of a 3rd generation exolorer XLT.... and jumped... came with rattly chain, not heard anything like that in an engine running before !!!!!
well all ancillaries out, heda off .... boy was that difficult..... so many wires, mind you the LPG set up with hoses, wires etc did not help
heads all refurbished ready to fit
after a fiasco with one ebay provider for an engine crane, sorted out the fight, other one bought now, await delivery then engine out....... bet that will bring more issues
Engine saw the timing chain rensioner parts front and rear coming out in bits, yes big and small bits, not including the bits that fell into bottom engine...
all will be cleared when sump etc removed as I want to check bearing deep in there
did not realise how different the generation 2 and 3 are, even to the body panel areas
