measure it.

enlighten me on how to do that

Grab a flat piece of metal or a level that covers the entire length of the rim, measure from where the mounting surface to the where the underside of the metal/level.. That is your backspacing.

and how would I figure out the offset?

To calculate offset you'll need the following measurements:

Wheel backspace
Wheel Width
Wheel Center line (outboard flange to inboard flange measurement / 2)

Subtract:

Wheel center line from Wheel backspace to get offset.
If backspace is less than the wheel centerline the offset is negative
If backspace is greater than the wheel centerline the offset is positive

BTW, the chart below is offset in mm

ok, here is what is am thinking of,

it is just a regular black steelie, but i am thinking of going 4" BS not 3.75". Will this work well with the inch wider rim? Or should i stick with the 3.75?
Plan on 32 X10.5's.

And thanks for the info JD.

ok after much research i how found out that 4" BS WILL TAKE THE RIM IN TO THE TRUCK 1/4" more the the stock rim right?

which could result in more rubbing.

Check to make sure this part fits your application

4" BS on a 8" wide wheel will set you .5" further into the wheel well.

Your widening your wheel one inch, but only setting it out .5".
