Will Wheels from a 2011 explorer fit a 2009 explorer?

if so are any modifications necessary? Pics would be great if you have limited rims on your 09 from a 2011+.

They share the same bolt pattern but that's really it. The center bore is smaller on the 11s, Thread sizing is also different so no, they will not fit. You'd have to completely change hubs, change rotor and breaks completely. That's if the hub is even possible to modify.
 






Couldn't you just machine the hub bore bigger and get lug nuts with the correct seat style for the '11 wheels? (the stock ones might even work)

Edit: I thought I remembered seeing someone running 5th gen wheels on their 4th gen...

I've seen them too but are the hubs just bored out?
 






I would imagine they just bored out the wheels...about 7.1mm between the two hub sizes
