I have found something to replace carpeting in my truck - should work great in my off-road only vehicle - and it's not that expensive.

Check this out:

Let me know what you guys think... beats the heck out of painting the floor with bedliner...

I like this one:

that is awsome! i need to get me some.

You have to be careful with those, because _some_ of them don't seal well on the sides, and water gets under them, and you don't know about it until your floorboards start rusting.

The price is 218-243 for the Explorers. That's more expensive than putting bedliner/herculiner on the floor. And you might also have the issue that Rhett mentioned.

Well... it's almost the same if water keeps getting under the carpet... I was thinking about replacing carpeting from my truck with this stuff... I know it's cheaper to just paint it and then you have everything within reach but with this stuff you get some extra protection...

I was even considering running without anything on the floor and no herculiner/bedliner at all. Just leave it the way it is right now, put some floor mats like Husky or CatchAll... I kind of like it this way... and cost? it's nearly nothing. Little clean-up and it will look fine. Right at this moment the entire interior of my truck is bare - no headliner, no trim, nothing except door panels...
Here ya go:

Wow your truck is/was the same color as mine, I've never seen one the same. I have however seen another Explorer with the same colors, but switched around.

well, almost the same as mine used to be all red... and became othe color when parts started to rust... I think. I got red doors with the truck so one day I might put them back on leaving the front end different color... It will get a coat of something at one point or another... just don't know what. ;)
