Nov 13, 2010 KCIR drags

I'm going to chance it and hope next Saturday works. May be the last chance we get until Spring so anyone that wants to come run/watch, please come out!

I also need witnesses when I smoke Tek's and Yellowford's Mustangs:D

Keep on dreamin:D.
Well at least for Tek's mustang.

Well if he spins through first, bogs in second and misses third, I'll have a chance:D

Yellowford- Are you going to run your Stang? If so, spend a little time this week getting it prepped. I'd clear out the trunk, remove the spare and possibly the back seat if it's not much work. If you need a hand, I'll come over and help.

I have changed my plugs, oil, rear diff fluid, cleaned the MAF sensor, took out 2nd/3rd row seat and have an 1/8 tank of gas. The one thing that's pissing me off is the fuel filter. I've tried changing it yesterday and bough 3 different fuel line disconnects with no success. ******* just doesn't want to come off(I have changed it in the past). Since I have more time now, I might pull the FR driveshaft/swaybar and put the efan back in and reattempt a 3rd time to get the fuel filter changed.

So who plan on running/coming out?

-Me
-Tekman
-Yellowford

The forecast is showing a high between 60-65 depending on which one you're looking at. Either way it's looking to be much better this weekend :D. Can't wait, I love that atmosphere out there. high 50's and partly cloudy makes for ideal conditions for racing!

It's also showing a chance of rain:( Plus, my bro-in-law asked me to come play golf which I had to painfully decline(I suck anyway). I'd much rather it be on the lower 50's upper 40's, but it is what it is.

I see nothing about any stinkin rain for Saturday.

Pulling everything out of my car seems like a lot of work for something that is still going to be slow, but it might get done.

Well Genius, we are not racing in Gardner now are we? :D

Edit- My weatherbug says rain on Sat for both Gardner and KSMO. But Yahoo weather says otherwise? I guess we'll wait and see, plus if it's going to be low-60's, I won't be happy. Weatherbug calls for low 50's:)

Looks like I will be backing out from racing, don't want to break anything on the mustang as it looks like its going up for sale pretty soon.

I understand. I worry about breaking mine too and if I do, not good! Are you coming out to watch?

You've seen your runs before, my brother took a couple when we were at heartland park. Looks like you guys had a good time, sucks I couldn't make it.

Now that you mention it;)

Next time I'll try to give a further notice about meeting up so you and whoever else can make it out. Something else Eric and I talked about was trying a road course at some point. I need to get mine lowered before I attempt to make a highspeed turn, but I think it would be a fun change.

It was a great time. And That Limited definitely would have toasted my 5.0. I was only slightly disappointed I didn't achieve my targeted goal of 12.9. I felt I should have. I definitely got the power to do it. Last time I ran with the GT before the NITTO's , Cams, JLT Intake I ran a 13.2. That was also my best this time around. It may be time for Suspension mods to plant that axle down, DR's, gears.
