Alarm wont activate after replacing car battery

hello,
i just replaced the car battery on my 2002 Ford Explore & the Key Remote wont activate the alarm. could someone please advise. thanks..

You may have to reprogram your remotes. This info is in the owner's manual. If you don't have an owner's manual, Dead Link Removed.

thanks for the response. i failed also to mention in my original post that the power door locks also wont lock or unlock from any of the door buttons. i tried what you mentioned & still have no success. any other help would be appreciated.

If all you did is replace the battery & everything worked before the change then I would recommend disconnecting the negative battery cable for 10 minutes and reconnect. Make sure that both terminals are tight.

Report back and we go from there.

According to the owner's manual: after disconnecting the battery, you must go through the "relearn" procedure as outlined below. This won't help with your issue, but I thought you would like to know:
