Welcome aboard!! :salute:

When I first got my Ex, the wipers wouldn't work on intermittent and wouldn't shut off. I replaced the relays, then the MFS, then the motor and that did it.

The info on the relays is contained in the owner's manual. If you don't have an owner's manual, Dead Link Removed.

I picked up the high/low & run/park relays at NAPA for about 8 bucks a piece.

Here is the info from the owner's manual. I apologize for the size of the pics but I wanted you to be able to see them.

There are 2 fuses related to the wipers/washers in the fuse panel located in the passenger compartment. #8 is a 30A Fuse for the front & rear washer relays and the front wiper control. #9 is a 15A Fuse for the rear wiper coil and contact:

There are 2 relays related to the washers located on the reverse side of the fuse panel. #4 is the relay for the front washer pump. #6 is the relay for the rear washer pump:

There are 2 relays related to the wipers located in the power distribution box located under the hood. #54 is the wiper run/park relay. #59 is the wiper high/low relay:

There is a relay related to the wipers in the rear relay box located on the rear quarter side passenger trim panel. To access this box you must remove the trim panel. #17 is the rear wipers relay:

Since you already replaced the MFS, if the relays don't do the trick, then you might have to change to motor. It is not that bad of a job. There is a thread on here that I used when I did mine. I'll try to find it for you.

I hope this helps out. Good luck with the fix. :biggthump

Thanks for all the info on the wiper. In 2002 ford changed the wiring for windshield wiper motor. I don't have all the relays that is shown in this Owners manual. No hi/low relay, and many more. I think it all go in to a GEM? I don't know where it is and how to check it. Do you have any Ideas. I have looked in my owners manual and on line with no success. Thanks for the Help

The info I gave you is from my 2002 Owner's Manual.

Most likely, it's a bad park switch located in the wiper motor. Ford had a TSB for the Rangers built before 4/04.
I realize these two vehicles probably have different motors but it sounds the same as I experienced. My wipers wouldn't park or they would come on going down the road.

Good info and nice to see another member from Delaware
