Dealer giving me a hard time about the r/h door panel issues we are experiencing ....

My R/H inner passenger side door panel drops almost 1/2 " and has a pucker right above where it meets the silver trim and my servicing dealer does not want to replace claiming that they all look like that. They said they have to send pics to Ford and get a yeah or nay as to whether they will do anything about it. I call BS on this.

How's the door shut? If the door shuts properly I'd only let them mess with the interior panel.

Door shuts great and is not out of alignment when viewed from the outside. They claim the door needs aligning!

Thats brutal QC at the Chicago Assembly Plant.

Should never have been allowed out of the plant like that.

I agree, thats a defect, get the CS reps here to escalate since ur dealer is being a knob about it.

Absolutely. Knobs. I would expect better treatment. Customer relations at my dealer is top priority. Except for one guy on the counter. I just avoid him now.

Update!

Got a call from my service adviser today and she said Ford gave her the go ahead to order the new door panel!

That's good news. Now let's hope that the alignment is better than the old. This is one area that was of concern some time ago.

Had to look at mine today after reading this yesterday. Both sides are mismatched but I never noticed till now, I doubt I will do anything about it.

I would have asked to look at the Ex's on his lot to compare them!

They did and that is why they were giving the a hard time they said that they looked a a few and said they were all like that. I happened to look at two that were there and there was a missmatch but not as bad as mine.
