Well many things are better as it relates to the suspension noises. However, as expected Chicago can't seem get some things right. Like making sure fit and finish are completed.

I expected bullet holes.

What have you done to improve on the suspension noises

Well found out today this is a bigger issue than I first thought. This is not the first Aviator this dealers body shop has had to fix. They will have to completely disassemble the front end all the way to include the core support. Then put it back together correctly so every thing lines up.

Lodged another complaint with Lincoln. Got rid of our 2020 due to many quality issues and now our 2022 will likely have to spen a week in the body shop to fix an issue that should have never left the factory with.

Wow. Fit and finish problems seem to be hit or miss. We have a later '21 build Explorer Limited 4WD (March) and the fit and finish is very good as well as the overall performance of the vehicle. However, I had moments of concern when I discovered the build day for my Explorer was March 17, St. Patrick's Day. I had visions of green beer being guzzled on the assembly line that day :dpchug:.

Well after being in the body shop for a week there is still a large enough gap that I can fit my hand between the headlight and hood.

Not acceptable. Is the other side the same? Hard to tell if the hood is high or the headlamp assembly is low.

I guess when you order one, you have to specify you don't want it build on Friday or Monday, or before or after a holiday.

The other side lines up fine. Body shop said it seemed like there were issues with hood and finder and pretty much every part on that side of the vehicle.

Yeah just shouldn't have made the mistake of ordering anything else built in Chicago. Because this is pretty much the quality of any day there.

Well it gets to go back into the body shop and Lincoln is sending out a Field Engineer to see if they can fix it.... yay.

So after another month in the body shop they claim to have fixed my misalignment issue. I know my 2020 was no where like this. Is this just standard and I had a good one last time but my 2022 has about a 1/2 gap between the hood and the headlight. It start out over an inch.

Two of my neighbors work @ ford Chicago Lucky you have something to complain about.

Doesn't make up for building it like crap the refusing to send out a Field Engineer to look at it.

Thanks, UAW.
Yeah Lincoln refusing to send out a Field Engineer is more than the UAW. Even after they told the dealership and concierge they would.

Now I am trying to find out if a 1/2 gap is within spec...

I don't know if I've checked the same place as you did but here is what I have.
