2022 Explorer Hybrid - Fogging /Frost interior

Explorer has been at the dealership for 3 days now … they say maybe its a leak.

If it's wet inside, don't let it sit too long like that or you'll get mold/fungus buildup.

Stupid question… what/where are C & D pillars area? Thanks

Cool - great explanation- I will definitely sporadically do the max high heat windows crack open strategy now n then …YES I’m not a fan of high heat - high fan speed.

One of your comments is confusing… what do you mean by “On the 2021 Hybrid the engine doesn’t shut off until cabin temperature is reached “?
The area inside the rear hatch side windows some have reported water collecting below the rear quarter panel windows on the sides and also under the compartment lid where your spare tire is stored.

Morning All… got the Explorer back … it was a leak ++

- Found tape under the bracket for the SODL
SODL bracket damaged from the tape, ordered a new bracket.

- They decided on their own to do 360 camera recall / blue screen- I had no idea

- They tested the auxiliary battery- failed test - retest new battery - failed test! New battery in D line is defective- Remove and replace battery again - Test Pass

- Rear weatherstripping replaced passenger side rear wheel.

- Car wash!

The bad news …. I picked it up after 6 days at the dealer and we’ve got a small accident (plastic under rear bumper bent in) … they are saying they need to check security footage.

Lets see if this fixes it

Thanks for the help

Hey … also they did a software update

Am I crazy or does a software update make the car drive differently…. Feels like the shifting is different and the Hybrid kicks in at different spots that before…. First impressions… I didn’t like it.

I don't think the backup camera recall would change anything. I wonder if replacing that bad battery might. I don't know to much about it function on you hybrid.

They did a software update which I feel is related to the difference in what I believe “drives different“ can’t prove it.

Guess I assumed the software update was for the backup camera. Did the repair order show what the software update was?

Do you still have radio stations programmed? Wondering if they disconnected the battery to do some work and lost the learned PCM parameters, will relearn as you drive further.

Surprised… everything was the same.

Normally the engine shuts off when braking or stopped......if cold out and temp inside hasn't reached the temp set for cabin yet the engine will not shut off.

Glad to read they found a leak and fix it. I'm going back to dealer again this Monday to have Rear Brake Pads replaced @12000 miles

Disconnecting and changing batteries can affect the shifting of the trans till it relearns your driving habits. It should smooth out over a few days of putting mileage on.

On the way home from the bolt fracture firmware jury rigged fix I notice the shift pattern change as I told service and Ford Motor many times since I could drive a 4 speed smoother. I'm actually going to Ford Friday for third attempt to fix the parking brake from that BS firmware back in August. I can say the electric miles averages have gone up as high 98 on a tank. But my heavy highway foot eats that up if I don't pay attention. @ 40 ~ 100 mph it shifts just fine.
