Delfino...
Yeah, you caught that. No spare tires. I still haven't drilled the hole so I can get my tire winder up/down. I just throw it in the cargo area if I'm going anywhere.

I'm getting use to the hitch now. Its been on for 5 months with the lift. Since it made it this long.. I'm just gonna leave it.

The actual body lift was pretty easy. I very straight forward procedure. It was the first time I've lifted anything and I did it with no outside help. (So, it's gotta be pretty damn easy :D ). It took me a little longer to do the lift because I have a V8 and the radiator is a little different than the V6. After a little research (while my truck was in the middle of the lift) I found out I had to cut a piece of the radiator a little to get it in. But if I had a V6 I could have done it in 5-6 hrs probably.

You can click on my website in my sig for some more info about my body lift. :D

Just had one more question to make sure?

I am going to do the PA 3" body lift on my 97 x i am going to the store to get the 853 kit and i know i need the bumber brackets from the 883 kit my question is do i need both front and back bracket or just the front's or back's bumber brakets

Thanks Guy's and Gal's

Just the front, the back brackets won't work from either kit without modifications. I found it easier to just use a flat piece of steel that I drilled 4 holes in. Do a search for "rear bumper lift brackets" and you'll find my drawings.

Thanks bro it's really appreciated

Front skidplate

Sorry If I'm not useing the correct terminalogy but I'm looking to put a from skidplate. (from the bottom of the bumper slanted back towards the front axle) and was wondering if they make one, or if you can easily make one??

This would be put on a '97 with a 3" BL and TT

Thanks, you da man!

Do you have a writeup? Sizes specs?

Would it be better to make it smooth as to aid in things sliding under (you over)?? Just curious.

No writup, I just measured the space from outside frame rail to out side framerail and then measured from the end of the frame rail to the front cross member and added 4 inches. then I measured the crossmember and took all that to a shop and they cut the dimondplate for me.

dimondplate =??? I think I know what you're talking about but can this be made out of something from...Fleet Farm? Can it be done by an amateur? With out heavy duty tools and equipment? I've done some metal work, and I've got great patients :) Cut through 1/8 in metal with a hack saw about 28inches worth for one mod.

Ok,

So you get the 853 kit
Then the 883 front bumper brackets
Then steering extention (um... where??)

Anything else?

Can you get, just the pieces that you need from the kits? Do you need the bumper brackets? Or can you easily make them?

Do you have to worry about the length of wires/lines/etc when lifting 3"

If I were to make my own 3" blocks I assume I need longer bolts, then If I make my own bumper brackets, do I need anything else? Just the steering extention?

And again, where can one get this. Parts store shy away like a criminal and the media when I talk about needing one.

You want the'98 - '99 Ranger kit, then a day or two after you order the kit, call them and say your '97 Ranger was in an acident and the steering extention was damaged so you need to order another one(from the '95 - '97 Ranger kit) .

You will then have all the parts you need to lift your's.

Hey bro wasup hey i already tryed that. They say it's allmost impossible for that exstion to break they told me ok bring the exstion in and let us see it if it is broken then we will send it back and get you a new one that's what they told me.

What you should do is go get the 3" kit for the 95-97 #853 and then call another store and tell them that you have a 98-99 ranger and is has been in a accident and the bumber brakets are messed up and you need to order some. I think it is easy to say you messed up your bumber brackets then saying you streeing exstion is broken. You will have to get 2 long bolt's to if you get the 853 kit i think 11-13 mm bolt if i am correct but please to hold me up on that just do a search for body lift's and they stat what lenth bolt's you will need.

Hope that helpes a little bro

Plus the price for two bumper lift brackets plus shipping is cheaper than the price of the steering extension.

Thanks

Where is the best place to order? Can you buy them locally to save on shipping?
