I know that the X is not designed to be a super fast auto, but i would like to have enough torque and engouh oomph to pull me out of the mud/muck/sand/what ever else. I am just wondering if the acceleration thing is really common or if i should have it looked into.

For all i know the gears in my X are stock, and i have seen a 4.0 run pretty fast. Mine is a 94 with a locked posi-rear, thats the way i bought it. I was thinking about duals and stuff like that but i am not shure that the money that i would spend on that kind of modification would be worth...

I have a 94 sport 5spd and i was wondering if laggy acceleration was just a common problem with the 5spd. Also i was wondering what else i could do to remedy the lack of oompf in the take off.

Did your exaust add much get up and go? and kind of off topic, how much did that intake add, cause that well probally be my first mod. My X is a 5spd, and it just does not have a ton of get up and go. I was wondering what else i could do to remedy that. Aaron

I knew that 400 was way too much, thats part of the reason that i did not get it. The guy that was gonna sell it to me was not very nice. and thank you robb, i found out about some really good stuff like the KKM intake, all i need to do is find a job to fund my fun. Keep the ideas comming...
