    RockRangerII Refresh

Sorry I missed this post. The two hangers combined give two inches of lift. So if you add the hangers and remove the block you would end up at roughly the same spot. The 63" springs gave me about 3" of lift. So the two hangers, keep the factory block, and 63" chevys would probably end up...

For Sale Second Gen explorer front winch bumper

I haven't been able to figure out a reasonable way to ship a fully built bumper. The online quotes I get put the shipping at $275 to $350. I use the sizes 70x30x20 with a weight of 100 pounds. Shipping is from 93722 if you want to see what you can find. Unwelded I can ship everything but the...

What is the "Best" Cooling setup for first Gens?

Should update this. It has been over a year with the new setup. It works awesome. Same grade as before I no longer over heat on. I put my foot to the floor at the bottom and let off on a few corners and the top and can hold 60 all the way up in 4th. But now I burn more gas going up the...

Or you can drag the Navajo up for a weekend and we can build a bumper for it. Especially if it still has the factory bumper frame mounts on it.

For Sale Second Gen explorer front winch bumper

I am selling a kit form winch bumper for the second gen explorer. It bolts to the factory frame mounts that get some reinforcements added. You will need to provide the mounting hardware which is grade 8 bolts. You will also need to provide a 34.5" long piece of 2 inch square tube. This is a...

    RockRangerII Refresh

Lots of questions. I like the coil springs better then leafs up front. I used to have leafs and converted to coil springs. If you do a search for RockRangerII it should come up. This is the rebuild thread. As far as cutting the frame to extend I am not sure. I have never done it so I can't...

    DUDER 1's 94xlt SAS

Northwest fab or tmr both in Canada. One of them make a 5 bolt ranger to 6 bolt tcase conversion adapter. You could then run a passenger drop tcase and use that front 60.

Of coarse she does. But she also wants me to finish the rebuild of her Jeep before I get to far into this build. I also just picked up the rear driveshaft for the 4406 swap. I think I now have all the parts to do that swap as well.

Building a winch bumper for our 01 Explorer.

I designed, cut, and built it myself. It will be about three or 4 weeks till I can get back to finishing it. I have a list of changes to make to the next one. All small changes like adding a tab or or moving this or that a bit here or there. Overall I am very happy with how it turned out.

161,000 miles of stock. It will be a very mild build. Dirt road exploring type of build. Already have a 4406 tcase and a 4.10 front diff in the garage. I can't fit the whole family in the Ranger and we can't fit everybody and camping gear in Tracy's Jeep.

Building a winch bumper for our 01 Explorer.

We have owned this explorer for 6 years now and has been a great vehicle for my wife to drive around. Now it is time to start modifying it. First up is a winch bumper. It bolts to the factory brackets that will have some extra reinforcements welded to them. This is the start of the mounts...

Worst case is you might need to pull it part way out with a jack under the tcase. Then realign the straps to balance it better.

    Bkennedy's SAS and Rebuild Thread

Cut the front clip out and I see no problem. We pulled the grill, radiator and support and stuffed the whole drivetrain in tracys jeep. That is a strait 6 nv4500 and a Dana 300. I am sure it is heavier then what you are pulling.

    Dusy Ershim Summer/Fall 2018. 6 days 5 nights.

Our attempt to run the trail earlier this year was denied with the trail not opening till today. So I am planning a trip to run it next year. The trail is located about 2 hours east of Fresno CA in the Sierra National Forest. It is 33 miles long as it cuts between two wilderness areas. It is...

Seven Days Five Trails Who is up for it?

Dusy opened today. It closes November 1. So three weeks the trail will be open this year. The only good I can see of this is that some major trail repairs were done this year. Hopefully that will make for a quick opening next year.
