    Compass dead

    Was the leak in the seal in the middle of the windshield right above the compass? I seem to have the same thing going on. I was thinking of trying to squeeze some clear silicone caulking along the top of the seal where it meets the windshield and see if that does the trick. Did you have any luck...

    https://www.amsoil.com/scripts/runisa.dll?amsoiloaf:index AMSOIL recommends synthetic ATF for the power steering system. AMSOIL makes a power steering fluid, so there is probably a good reason they specify ATF just like Ford: that is what the system is designed for.

    97 transmission problem (late shift).

    Found this post that also describes my problem exactly. http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=213957&highlight=shift+gas I am going to clean the throttle position sensor and electrical contacts, if that doesn't work I'll replace the sensor and post my results.

    97 transmission problem (late shift).

    I am having the same exact problem on the same model vehicle (97 AWD V8). Brooklyn: can you be more specific, I couldn't find anything related to the 4R70W, and the problem exists during shifts to 2nd, 3rd, and 4th.
