    $3000 - $3500 that is what ford will charge. I got it done on warrenty so there was no charge!! I saw the mechanic who did the work and for the parts including the special tools for the job no labour cost was $1800.:thumbdwn::thumbdwn:

    Its quite strange that you keep refering to my explorer as a lemon because I have had problems with the chains etc. Everyone has problems with the chains and the gearbox therefore ford must have a massive lemon tree for a factory? The reason for getting stuck (and I thank you for your concern)...
