    Need more HP

well now Heres the thing, Nitrous would be badass for racing, and some serious Dune Climbs, HOWEVER... I don't do either of those, I guess the most frustrating part is the fact that I used to have a SOHC Ranger it was 95 with a 5 speed, and that thing had 4 times the balls of my explorer. So...

    Need more HP

no I haven't done that, Do you think a new fuel filter, plugs and wires would be good? I just bought it and I don't believe they have been yet, I hear things about the EGR valve, ect.. any tips? if not, I am pissed enough to buy a 302 and C4 trans, and make this my project. Its pretty...

    Need more HP

actually.. It runs perfect, Starts easy, idles fine, doesn't stall, and runs perfect. But the way it drives, It seems like someone threw a 40 foot trailer full of iron behind it, its just a dog. It accelerates VERY SLOWLY, but the trans is ok (knock on wood) theres no slipping, and it shifts...

    Need more HP

Ok, I have a 92 explorer 4x4. I have an automatic, I have a flowmaster, K&N custom induction and mass air set up. Richmond 4.10 gears. I have 123,000 miles, and it just doesn't have any balls, it seems so damn weak. Would plugs, wires and fuel filter be a good idea?

    Mass Air Trick

yes Ok ready! The mass air sensor is the piece of Metal inline with the air intake, right after your airbox or air filter, it has a harness going to it for the sensors in your vehicle, Remove your whole mass air sensor unit that in your air intake. Once you get it on a bench or a table...

    Mass Air Trick

roughly... Well, The sensor Is already there, you just need the Body for it. All Mass Air Sensors are the same for fords. They all "look the same" but have different Computer settings and numbers. So All I did was find a Rolled V8 at my junkyard and the guy charged me 12.00 for the Mass Air...

    Mass Air Trick

One of the guys told me a little trick on the Mass Air sensor on a 92. I Found one off of a 5.0 Mustang. and all I did was switch the sensors. And install it back in. The difference was night and day, a lot more Throttle response. The 5.0 mass air sensor has a full 3 inch bore. The stock 92 MAF...

    GEars and Trans ?'s

I have a 92 auto with the 3:27 "Dog" rear end. I really want to Convert it to a 3:73 Rear end, I don't care about limited Slip, just as long as it can Tow. Do I have to do anything to my Trans, computers, or anything else? Also is there someone who has had Experience with gears and knows how to...

    Throttle, Trans and Cats

Would it increase or decrease HP if I removed the cats on a 92 Exploder? any good or bad effects? Is my vehicle capable of towing, 123,000 on it, its an auto, what can I do to "protect the the tranny"? Any recomendations? My throttle is very sloppy, any adjustments? when I have it WOT, the...

    Axle and Leaf Question

Ok call me stupid, but I need support on an idea for a quick lift, On rangers the Axle sits outside of the leaf spring or under it. and it is held on with a U-Bolt. ON the explorer its opposite, If I were to Pull my Axle and make a new Leaf spring Pad, Buy some U-bolts and adapt it to fit on...
