Thats what I was figuring. It's in good shape but I just don't see the point I just want to drive it for about another year or so. It's like any high mileage vehicle lots of little things are breaking and wearing out. I'm going to tear into it Sun and see where I'm at.

I didn't drive it after I found the problem. And I won't. It wasn't making any noise. Shorten it's life expentancy. It's got 215,000 miles it's well past it life expectancy, I think.:D

I just hate to spend much time and money fixing the problem just to spin a bearing 500 miles later.

It does kinda sound like a gauge problem. Did the shop verify it was actually getting hot?

I don't know how the front suspension is on the 02-05 but I do now they don't make much if anything to bag them. It pretty much has to be custom built.' I think.

I plan on baggin mine it is a 99, I don't know if it is the same. On mine it is going to require some major surgery in the front to get it to lay out. The crossmember hangs about 5.75" lower than anything else so it's going to take some frame work to get it down. The back will depend a lot on...

I saw your little thread already but I couldn't find anything on where the end of this spring goes. Do I have to pull the whole window regulator out of the door? I don't know how it got off but the rattling is driving me crazy.

I got a 99 xls 4x4 and was wondering what other vehicles I can change parts out of. Mostly the front sheetmetal. Will like an aviator or ranger front work? What about sport trac?

I got a 99 xls 4x4 and am dropping it. Can I just pull the front diff and cv joints or do they hold the wheels on or something. Eventually getting bagged but it will be a slow process.
