    then why are you replying...the amount of meaningless replys to peoples questions on these forums is absurd. if you dont know, you dont need to be heard. I removed them by inserting a small pick and breaking them apart while a vacuum sucked up the pieces. they are soft plastic, easy to scrape...

    Rear (RH) Timing Chain Tensioner - Anyone recognize this part# TC.40.A.302 40

    I know there are a lot of scams going on on ebay and Amazon switching Chinese parts for oem.. These boxes have greasy fingerprints on them leading me to think the boxes have been reused. I cant seem to find any info on the numbers stamped on the tensioners I'm not aware of manual tensioners...

    Did you ever figure this out? I bought supposed ford OEM blue box tensioners on ebay. I'm not sure that they didnt put Chinese tensioners in the blue box, trying to figure out if I got scammed or these are real ford parts
