    Not a good idea to remove an axle - you might catch your new ride on fire from all the sparks, I'm sure you meant the front driveshaft.

    2015 Explorer Brake Issue??

    I don't know if the driveshafts are the same as my 07 Spot Trac but mine acted similarly to what you are experiencing. It was the bushing around the carrier bearing letting the driveshaft shift 2 to three inches. This would give me a jarring "CLUNK" when backing up my driveway.

    My Sport Trac is the v6 which has the 5 speed trans. Will double check for any TSB's regardless. Thanks again for your help.

    No Check engine lights or error codes. Not familiar with Gravity/fuel cut off switch, will do some research and reset it. Ditto for TSB's - dealer told me none but will verify. Thank you for your thoughts and guidance.

    Intermittent surging especially when accelerating after slowing to make a turn. Seems to be fuel starving. Have changed fuel and air filters, MASS air sensor, throttle body ($$$), - thanks to the expertise of my local Ford Dealer. Over a Thousand dollars and problem not fixed. Any ideas?
