If we et enough people together...
Since I am officially NOT selling and making these intakes I can give my comments and recommendations on them!
I originally started the products but have sold the rights to another company.
Zabteck Performance is now making a V6 & V8 performance intake. The Intakes take advantage of the...
Chrome is available too.....Had them on my 2006 ROUSH.
Plan on doing th esame with my STA in the spring......but will be doing the Cams at the same time! ;)
I Called CGS (Company that did the "Coppertone" trac above) that did that setup and they have not returned my calls! I want the Roll Pan!!!

LOVE my drop springs on the '08....good purchase since they are...
Guess I'll have to stick with my 1.5" Drop I currently have then! hee hee
Maybe we can get Eibach to AT LEAST make replacement Struts for us! There are ZERO struts/shocks on the market now for the 06+ Xplorers and 07+ Trac's!! (other than ford replacement $$$$)
I have done (or plan on doing):
SCT Xcal3 93oct Perf. (Tuned by Justin Starkey)
Nocturnal Perf. Intake w/ MAF & Filter PKG
FM 50-series SUV Perf. Muffler
MotoBlue 5pc Underdrive Pulley Set (no longer available - I recommend STEEDA)
Zabteck Throttle Body
Charge motion delete plates
But why would you buy the K&N?! Terrible design!
KKM ($135) combined w/Nocturnal Perf Intake ($115)....best intake out there! ($250 total)
Thoise two combined with a Tune gained me 43+ RWHP and 55+ rwtq in mid range!
This si what I have and it got me 266rwhp & 278rwtq
Nocturnal Perf. Intake
Nocturnal MAF & Filter pkg
SCT Tuner (Tuned by VMP Tuning) ($399)
Muffler ($150 w/install)
Zabteck Throttle Body ($325)
Hi-Flow Cat's ($200 installed)
Pulleys (I have Motoblue.... I recommend Steeda) ($199)...
The 4pc pulleys I have are no longer sold...however you can get the same setup through Steeda. Look for the 2005+underdrive pulleys and get tthat which comes with the crank pulley and waterpump pulley.
They also sell two 90mm idler pulleys...that's what makes up the 4pc kit.
Got some dyno numbers today....
sorry for the repost for those who have already seen this!
Contrary to popular beliefe....these trucks CAN be Dynoed! (there is a way to get around the traction control)
Another STA was dynoed totally stock at 231/223 rwhp/tq
HERE ARE MY NUMBERS:
Honestly it's gonna be pretty hard to do an interior video. The "Dragon" intake under the hood is not gonna give you a true sound of what the exhaust sounds like!
Plus I'm getting my custom Y-pipe installed today!
It looks to me that the above picture is the muffler, but don't take my word...
Not exactly sure by the EXTREMELY LARGE PICTURE
But you should have had the exhaust shop take out both the resonator and the muffler!
You should only need an aftermarket muffler and no resonator!
In fact I am taking my Adrenalin out to the shop next week to get the cat's removed and install...
honestly probably the same....thee 22" muffler will be quieter bit the catback system eliminates the resonator which I beleive you still have. So in all it will even out to sound like what you have now.
Theory of course
It's gonna be cheaper for you to just have the resonator removed! Paying the money for the mandrel bent fatback is not gonna get you any more power unless you working with forced induction!
I have an adrenalin tip if you want it!? Put that on and have the resonator cut out and you'll be...
What is shown below is a heat shiforTified made for my larger MAF/intake kit....This has given some great gains in performance as well as throttle response! The heat shield has shown a 20+ degree difference form Engine side to filter side! This is how the Sport-trac should have came!
I to have my tuner adjust for my upgraded MAF...whihc is going in tomorow!
The 93 octane tune on my Stock setup didn't change all that much!
But I have a feelign with my Nocturnal Intake and the upgraded MAF/Filter...it's gonna rock!
GOt my XCal now and have teh 4.10's.....
Gonna call the Install shop and possibly get them installed by the end of next week!?
Fingers crossed!
I'll keep you all updated!
I used a lot of my 05 Mustang dressup caps & covers...Granted they did not all transfer over exactly but I made them work!
Also added Carbon Fiber to the Top of the Battery and Fuse Box.
Next step is the Mustang CS plenum cover and Chrome Valve Covers.
NOT shown below is my installed...
By saying you have an "SVA" I'm guessing you mean Sport Trac Adrenalin STA!?
1. The NAV is a litttle updated with better visuals fo the navigation...your NAV is fine!
2. There are a few great Tuners out there; VMPTuning, Bamachips, Unleashed Tuning, Blow By Racing Etc. Get yourself an...
Count it as 2 home done!
I have an Adrenalin (Different Exit, rear vs side)
I bought the Flowmaster 50series SUV and LOVE it! Welded that in place of my Stock Muffler and had a Straight pipe put in place of the Resonator!
Sound clip on my Cardomain SIte (SEE SIG BELOW)
talked to my local dyno shop yesterday...they have been doing mustang /cobra builds for years!
They said that the next step for me would be to have the Cats in the y-pipe eliminated (15hp gain) = $175
Said that the Exhaust ports could be ported to match better and the heads in general...
Looks like a possibility!
I also heard that teh DiabloSport Prdator is coming out called teh trinity here pretty soon!
It too has the capability to adjust shifts points like the Sniper and Kenne Bell.
So is this KKM MAF a different size or same as stock?
The only thing I can think that woudl make it better than stock is teh MAF Size...
Honestly the stock airbox design is pretty sufficient when driving! So I don't see where the extra gain comes from!
ok, so going back to NA now...
I'm sure the 4.6L cams in the X are different than the mustang, anyone know the specs on it?
Anyone tried aftermarket cams in thier 4.6L V8 for an X, sport-trac or mountaineer?
What about heads?
the problem here is that it is a pretty expensive labor job to have done at the dealership.....becasue the plugs are "Supposed to be good" for 100k. FORD Knows that and also knows the warranty only goes to 36k miles....see the problem!?
The dealer will charge you and will not cover it under...
