    re: 2000 XLT tranny dipstick tube thanks for replying. yes, i meant SOHC, and not SOHV. i will try those venders. also, have i provided enough info about the my tranny for any suggestions on how to remove the remainder of the old dipstick tube, and install a new tube? i appreciate your advice.

    My 17 year old son just handed me the tranny dipstick and top of rusted dipstick tube from my 2000 Explorer XLT. Don't yet know how that happened. Needless to say, I must replace dipstick tube. Nothing about in my Haynes manual. Anyone tell me how to replace it, and where to find the part...
