after market deck in 96 jbl primium sound system

You should have wired your Kenwood's pre-outs to the factory amp rather than the amplified outputs.

wiring aftermarket head unit to factory woofer

Talkin' to myself... Well, I wired the 2 sub-outs together. I had a lovely blue/white wire running from the front to the back which whoever butchered the original setup ran, dunno what he had it hooked to, but I cut it and hooked it to the white wire on the sub amp input, and the other end to...

wiring aftermarket head unit to factory woofer

Thanks for clearing that up. The wiring diagram I have (Mitchell) lists it as "Mute". Of course, it has the sub amp input wire colors wrong too. Guess I've got to run another wire back from the front to hook that to the HU. Explains why the sub wasn't working. My Kenwood HU has a left and...

How to: Quick Blend Door Actuator removal for Gen II

I wonder if there actually was a design change, or if it's a matter of people not knowing where to put the screwdriver to pry it off? The ones for the '97's also have the clips, but the tray with the clips (which screws to the plenum), at least on the '97's, comes up over the edges of the...

wiring aftermarket head unit to factory woofer

That's what the wiring diagram says the wires should be, but that's not what they are. I've got a '97 EB, and my sub amp is the same as the one pictured, with the same connector on top. 3 wires, one black, one red, and the other is white. I've ran a wire back from my Kenwood's sub outs...

    Door lock actuator problem

I'd steer clear from whoever told you that it's "either/or", sounds like they don't know what they're doing. An actuator is either working, not working, or working intermittantly (might open, might not). If your hatch and back passenger doors are locking and unlocking normally, you don't have a...

Installing aftermarket radio, can't find right connectors, HELP!

Apparently that's what somebody already did to mine. I ripped off the passenger side kick panel and found both the wires from the speakers there along with the antenna (traced both the wire bundle and the antenna back to the rear when I ran the wire up from there to the front for my Music Keg)...

How to: Quick Blend Door Actuator removal for Gen II

Turns out the 97 Eddie Bauer that I just picked up had a bum Blend Door Actuator (dreaded "click of death"). I googled around for the easiest way to replace it, but no matter what, it seemed it'd be quite a challenge getting that 3rd screw (the one in back of the actuator) out. A little "out...

Need help finding parts online- Ford is a rip-off

Where did you find the actuator at Rock Auto? I find the blend door, but don't see any listing for actuator.

Blend door repair question: How to take the acuator off the clips?

Where did you get yours at, aftermarket or dealer? I've got the dreaded clicking and nothing but heat, so I'm looking to replace mine. I've read all the instructions I can find, and it seems some are just pressure clipped in, while others are bolted. With my luck, mine will be bolted ('97 EB).

Installing aftermarket radio, can't find right connectors, HELP!

I just picked up a 1997 Eddie Bauer, which had the JBL sound system in it. The previous owner removed the stock radio, and I'm trying to find a set of adapters so I can install my Kenwood. I know about the stock radio controller and sub amp being in the back, but every adapter set I find doesn't...
