Not sure where exactly this will need to go, but was wondering how different the engines are from gen 1 to gen 2. I have a good engine from the gen 1 and looking at a gen 2 sport. Any help would be great.....

In the 93 it seems like I have 1 2 D the OD and it goes through all the gears 1, 2, D, then kicks down again. The 92 never did that, but it has the OD symbol like the 93......what am I missing?
