I think you answered your own question. Even just throwing an aftermarket gauge on temporarily to see what's going on for sure is needed now so you don't blow it up. Then remove the gauge cluster and remove the lens and lift the needle over the pin.

Unless you have hubs that unlock your axles are still turning and you will have a terrible time driving on the streets.

Overfilling will come out the vent and I can tell you it was not overfilled.

My buddy had a 94 F150 with a 5.0 and basically a 4r70W tranny (it was a AOD-EW) but it would fill the T case as fast as you filled the tranny. I guess time will tell how bad your seal is but either way it needs fixed.

For the record, you did not have to remove the radiator hose to replace the alternator. It simple flexes a little and the Alt will slide out. The belt is like any other, max out the tensioner and slip the belt under the easiest pulley to get to.

In reality we are talking about much more than a simple shift kit. These kits that include hardware are more of a retune kit then a shift kit. I just wanted to be sure you weren't one of the '' ZOMYGOD THE JMOD IS THE BEST AND ONLy'' guys.

IMO the J mod is a band aid and only the bare minimum. The Trannsgo shift kit replaces several valves in the valve body along with other hardware. I know the kit isn't free but the J mod is just a tease of what's possible.
