I would recommend getting the 3BAR, personally. Reason being, not only is the tune more powerful but from a daily driver POV, it is far more predictable when plotting out your power under light throttle input. The tune feels more composed and to me it is more "fun" to DD.

Correct, we have conclusive results displaying that our Windstorm CAI makes more power than the MDesign CAI.

The mods make no difference if you are looking at the same vehicle, same day and same time (within 20 mins or so). The only difference between the two runs is the Mdesign @365 and the Windstorm @ 392. The XSport is based off of the same transverse platform as the Taurus, MKS, Flex and MKT...

MDesign is actually super local to us, and we asked the owner whom is less than a mile from our shop to bring one over for testing...never happened. So, when we got a vehicle in that had one on it already we asked the owner to allow us to test on it. There are the dyno results that were posted...

Speed density systems do not need tuning for a cold air kit.

We have actually tested the MDesign VS our Windstorm on a couple different vehicles and there is a difference in power between them. The Windstorm has actually made between 16 and 21 MORE hp than the MDesign.

Correct. The initial runs on the 1st gen XS were FAR lower than that of the 1st runs on the 2nd gen.

The 16 made far more power than the 11whp and 35wtq that we were able to make with the initial rounds of tuning of the 13-15MY. The 16 makes more tq than the 13-15, but we don't know which one is quicker or faster...YET! I couldn't find the graph, but here is the initial video...

Tune ONLY

Since the release of the all-new 2016 XSport we have been have at work trying to crack the code to give you guys the power that you want. I think that we just might have gotten this one right: Featuring 59WHP and 82WTQ, I would say that we got it right the first time around!

There are a few that we have found thus far. We will keep you guys posted on what will port over as we find out.

I'm Jaimie, but I wish I were Mr. Livernois...I would be like We tune in excess of 200 vehicles a month, and have been doing so since 2009 on the newer Ford platforms. There has yet to be a failure. We own all the vehicles that we tune. So we use ourselves as the test dummies long before...
